Oxalis triangularis

Oxalis triangularis - False Shamrock (XS)

$44.95

Hailing from South America, this beautiful purple beauty is highly coveted for its striking deep maroon foliage and pretty pink flowers. It will bring a beautiful dash of colour into any room and can also be grown outdoors in a shady spot. Part of the clover family, you'll notice its leaves will fold up at night time or if in distress or exposed to harsh sun. Oxalis is also an edible plant and safe for your pets and your own cuisine!

CARE TIPS

Best grown in moderate temperatures between 15-25 degrees. Water when topsoil is dry and in well draining soil. Oxalis is grown from a bulb and can go dormant in winter or if temperatures are above 27 degrees celcius or soil is too dry. Cease watering during dormancy. Feed fortnightly with diluted liquid fertiliser every fortnight during growing season. This plant has a growing cycle every 2-4 weeks so if it starts dying off, remove dry foliage and cease watering and fertilising until the next growing cycle.
