Happy Plant - Dracaena massangeana (S)

The glossy rich green leaves of Dracaena Massangeana, also known as 'Corn Plant' or 'Happy Plant' are striped with striking yellow an dgreen variegation. As it matures, and given ideal light conditions, these markings will deepen in contrast over time. An evergreen with hardy bamboo like stems, the foliage is the main appeal of this plant. It can also flower, but this is only really likely in warm outdoor conditions - the dainty little white blooms a rare delight!

CARE TIPS

Prefers bright indirect light to filtered light, but is able to withstand low light conditions and a dry indoor environment. However, the closer to brighter light, the more variegated the pigmentation. During growing season, moderately water over well drained soil and maintain its moisture, whilst using a fertiliser every fortnight in the summer. Reduce watering in the winter. Use stem cuttings carrying 3-4 leaves to propagate.
