Aloe 'White Beauty'
Aloe - 'White Beauty' (S)
In the classic Aloe shape, a rosette made of thick, pointed leaves with slightly serrated edges, the 'White Beauty' cultivar is an attractive light minty green colour dappled with white speckles. A smaller Aloe, it would look very sweet in a small pot by a bright window, or collected en masse in a shallow rocky garden bed. Like all aloes, it is drought tolerant, holding water in its juicy leaves, making it easy to care for. Though it is a slow grower, given time and care, it can sprout little Aloe pups - what a delight!
Aloe thrives best in the sun or in bright light much like other succulents. It can be placed in rock gardens or inside next to a large window, ensuring you only water occasionally as it is a drought tolerant plant. Position Aloe under full sun during colder months for less harsh conditions, and partial shade to filtered light during the hot summer. Expect slight colour changes depending on sun exposure - a pinky-red hue means it is getting a little too hot and dry. Keep an eye on any dark patches on the leaves as this can indicate overwatering.
