Calathea x picturata 'Crimson'

Calathea 'Crimson' (S)

The Crimson Red stands out from the crowd due to its eye-catching large, rounded leaves and its unique colourful streaks. Each leaf has a large, bright pink marking in the centre that matures to a deep red-purple surrounded by a bright green margin. It's an easy-to-manage indoor option best grown away from direct sunlight in humid, drOught-free conditions with a consistent temperature.

Provide plenty of diffused light but avoid direct sunlight as it will fade the leaves. Calathea will tolerate low light conditions but are best in medium indirect or filtered light. Calathea must be kept in damp soil at all times, but do not allow the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil. Use a watering policy that follows a 'little and often' routine. Best grown away from direct sunlight in humid, drought-free conditions with a consistent temperature.
