This hardy and virtually indestructible plant, known for its tolerance to neglect, is great for growing indoors or outdoors in shady areas of the garden. Native to Japan and Taiwan, this evergreen will live up to its name of The Cast Iron Plant by withstanding both frost and drought, making it suitable for the majority of Australian conditions. It has lush leaves spotted with rich cream colours and are great in cut flower arrangements when in bloom or otherwise for wonderful display at home.

CARE TIPS

This plant can thrive even if neglected hence it's nickname the 'Cast Iron Plant'. Position outdoors with at least some shade and indoors with some indirect light source. Add some water infrequently allowing for the soil to dry and provide nutrients with fertiliser once a month during warmer periods.
