Dypsis lutescens

Golden Cane Palm (M)

$39.95

The lovely long bright green leaves of this palm emerge from a cluster of slender vertical stems, which are yellow in colour, culminating in a lush full foliage at the top of the plant. Native to Madagascar, through spread throughout South America, the Golden Cane Palm brings in a tropical feeling its arching, slender leaves. A popular plant, that looks as equally attractive when young in a small pot, as it does when fully grown and grouped together, it nevertheless requires regular care when kept inside. Bright, indirect light, and soil kept moist (but not wet), will help your Dypsis lutescens to thrive.

CARE TIPS

Areas with bright light are an ideal spot for the Golden Cane as it mimics the areas in which the plant originated in. Replant as the plant grows, preferably every 2-3 years and make sure the soil is well drained. Make sure you water the plant regularly, when the top layer of soil is dry, but be careful not to drown the roots as well.
