Hypoestes - Freckle Face (S)
Hypoestes, also known as 'Freckle Face' or 'Polka Dot Plants', are an eye catching plant with coloured, spotty foliage growing in a dense, bushy pattern. Native to Madagascar, Hypoestes are best grown inside away from harsh conditions and temperature drops. The Freckle Face thrive in bright indirect light and a damp growing medium. Colouring can range from a bright white to a deep pink, making this unique specimen the perfect gift or desktop plant.
Best in bright indirect light, Hypoestes indoors will thrive in a window with light exposure. Keep soil damp at all times, but allow complete drainage and never stand in water. Freckle face don't tolerate dramatic temperature changes, so keep out of hot windows or aircon. To encourage bushier growth and prevent legginess, branches can be pruned or pinched back regularly.
