Known as the 'Chinese Money Plant', with its coin shaped leaves and Chinese origins, Pilea peperomioides was only recently considered a rare indoor variety. It has grown in popularity for its unique look and ease of propagation with babies/pups growing off a happy plant. This is a perfect desktop plant and is popular for gifts.
CARE TIPS
Bright indirect light is best for this plant, rotate it regularly for even distribution of leaves as they will move towards the light. Aerate soil at change of seasons if required and remove dust with a damp cloth. Make sure soil is well drained and water when topsoil is dry, misting every 2 days for best results.
