Reverse Spider Plant (S)
The foliage of this Spider Plant is long, strap-like leaves which have a green centre and white margins, all growing outwards from a central crown. The colours of Reverse Spider are a variegation, with the placement of white and green flipped from the more common variety, hence the name! Your Spider Plant can sprout off mini baby plants which make it an ideal plant to hang up high or prop up in a plant stand. Given just a little time to grow, you can repot these plantlets all on their very own! An eye-catching classic indoor plant with an appealing fullness, and easy to care for to boot, 'Reverse Spider' will make a great addition to your home.
Grows best in some direct light to bright light and with evenly moist to slightly dry soil and average house humidity. This plant produces a mass of thick, white roots. If left too long, it may either crack or push out of the pot. When it gets root bound you can either transplant it into a larger pot or do some root pruning. Knock the plant out of the pot, cut an inch or so off of the bottom and a ring from the sides and repot. It will recover and fill the pot in again. Remember that this is major surgery and some TLC will help the plant recover.
Allow soil to dry out in between watering, once a week is usually enough.
