Silver Dollar Vine (S)
Xerosicyos danguyi, commonly known as the 'Silver Dollar Vine' gets its name from its silver tinged, perfectly round leaves. Native to madagascar and related to the cucumber, the Silver Dollar Vine is a climber that uses delicate tendrils to latch onto support, and when mature forms a loose shrub. Highly sought after and rare in Australia, this plant is a great for those new to the rare plant game.
This desert plant needs a fair amount of bright light to thrive. It can take direct sun, but will do best in a shaded area or inside with bright indirect light. This plant is a summer grower, so water frequently when the top layer of the soil is completely dry, and cut down drastically over winter letting the soil dry completely between waterings.
