Peperomia prostrata
String of Turtles - Jade Necklace Peperomia (S)
Peperomia prostrata is a miniature Peperomia with masses of round, succulent like, jade coloured leaves with distinct markings giving it the knick name “String of Turtles”. Best grown in a hanging pot in the shade or indoors or even in a terrarium. This plant is coveted for its cute bead like strings of foliage, gaining it its other common name, the "Jade Necklace".
CARE TIPS
This Peperomia is particularly slow growing and has a shallow root system requiring shallow watering as it can be prone to root rot. Otherwise it is easy to care for by providing indirect or filtered light and allowing the soil to dry completely between watering. In winter reduce water intake drastically.
